Our debut show! In this episode, we look at the beginning portion of the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5:1-12, also known as the Beatitudes. These are a series of guidelines for living a blessed and Christ-like life. Enjoy!

More details on our return

Hey folks, just wanted to let you all know that we are on track for our big return! Nick and I have recorded our first new episode, and it will be released this very Wednesday for your listening pleasure. We hope that you'll all pick back up on the show, and we also hope to get many new listeners as we get shows out more consistently and promote the podcast more.

Just a couple logistical things to cover as well, though. First, when you listen to the podcast you might notice that it sounds a bit different. This round, Nick and I are forgoing music, intros, and "professional" production quality in general to bring all of you a more personal and real study. We really want this to be just two guys discussing some scripture, and that's what it's going to be. Secondly, since all of the backend infrastructure of getting the podcast delivered to you is a bit different this go around, some things might not be 100% at first. If not, we'll definitely work on it. The one thing that for sure will not work right now is subscribing to us via the iTunes podcast directory. Instead, if you're an iTunes/iPod user, you should click our subscription link in the sidebar of this page rather than trying to find us in the directory. You'll find us there, but it's an old feed that won't update properly.

With that out of the way, we're really excited to get the ball rolling again, and we look forward to this being a continuing ministry!

We're coming back!

After a long, long silence from Nick and I, we're finally returning to the podcast. There have been some pretty crazy life changes for both of us over the past year or so, but things are finally starting to settle down to a point where we're ready to make a commitment to this ministry again. We think it's important, and as I've been revving up to get things going again, I found various signs that I had never noticed before that we were actually reaching people! That makes us both even more excited to get going again.

For now we can't give an exact release date, but we're going to shoot for releasing a new show every Wednesday, and it's possible that we could start as early as two weeks from now. The infrastructure is already in place with some vast improvements over our old setup, and now all we have to do is get some shows in the can.

Sincere Apologies

We've been really behind on the podcast, but there is a reason. I just got a new computer a few days ago, and I've been in the process of transferring all our files over to the new system. The good news is that my new machine should be able to allow us to do some cool new things with the podcast. Keep an eye out for those things soon. Also, we're going to change up the way we do the written study format as the way we've been doing it has been a bit of a hassle.

We do have one episode "in the can," so as soon as I can get it up, I will. After that we should be back on track to doing episodes faster and better than we ever have before. We'll keep you posted.
